Summer Intensive

 

Our 6 Week Summer Intensive program offers a condensed version of our popular 3 month program, making it ideal for working actors and those with experience seeking a deeper exploration of the acting technique. This intensive program covers the application of our approach to acting and performance on a professional level, focusing on the complete physiological process of acting.

Unlike the 3 month program, the 6 week intensive allows actors to achieve the same level of training in a shorter timeframe, making it more convenient for those balancing professional commitments, with nearly the same amount of training hours ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. Actors will immerse themselves fully for 6 weeks, equipping them to apply their skills confidently in the industry while still allowing time for professional engagements.

What You Will Learn

  • Emotional training: Learn physical techniques to access and clarify emotions, unblocking restrictions and building emotional fitness and stamina
  • Emotional Communication: Develop authentic communication and interaction beyond the text, connecting emotionally and energetically with other actors
  • Energetic presence: Cultivate stage presence, taking up space and electrifying audiences with your performances
  • Staying Present and Being in the Moment: Techniques to be fully present on stage, getting out of your head and into your body for authentic performances.
  • Vocal Training: Free your voice to resonate dynamically and authentically. Learn to allow emotion into the voice and support your vocal expression
  • Body Work and Impulse training: Train your body for efficient, free movement, allowing energy to flow and impulses to guide movement naturally.
  • Partner and group work: Establish connection for seamless, energetic performances with scene partners or ensemble work.
  • Improvisation: Learn to follow and recognise your body’s impulses for spontaneous, engaging performances
  • Character work: Discover how to embody and build characters inside out and experience their world and perspective through the body.
  • Monologue /Scene work: Apply training to monologues and scenes, culminating in filmed piece at the end of the 6 weeks.
